-Democratic Nominee for Wisconsin State Assembly-District 70-
Hello current and prospective supporters. My name is Remberto “Remy” Gomez and I’m running as the Democratic nominee for The Wisconsin State Assembly district 70. I’m 40 years old and I live where I was born and raised in Tomah. I live with my life partner Kayla of 14 years and our three kids. I currently represent district 13 (south end of the city of Tomah) on the Monroe County Board of Supervisors where I’m in my second term. I am currently the Chairperson for the Monroe County Property and Maintenance Committee and a sitting member of the Sanitation and Zoning and Public Safety and Justice committees.
I’m an active member in my local community where I proudly served as the chair of Tomah's LRPC (Long Range Planning Commission) for the past 2 years in addition to being a member of the Planning Commission, Tomah Public Housing and the city’s Board of Appeals. In the spring on 2022 I also stepped in as the interim executive director for Tomah Public Housing. Each and every role has given me an in-depth look at how and where our communities are working to improve at the local level. While being in these and other civic roles I have had the pleasure to collaborate with numerous experts in their respective fields and made some connections that help me stay educated as well as up to date on a variety of local issues.
